Elizabeth Heren - Psychotherapist and Sesame Practitioner

I trained in Transpersonal and Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education, and have worked as a supervisor and facilitator on their diploma training programme. I have regular clinical supervision, and subscribe to the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy Code of Ethics.

I have been in private practice for 13 years, and hold both a diploma and an advanced diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education. I gained additional training from the Sesame Institute in the 'Use of Drama and Movement in Therapy', and qualified as a supervisor at the Institute of Group Analysis.

Training at the Sesame Institute facilitated the use of movement and drama within therapy, supporting the resources of the body/mind to find healing solutions ‘when words are not enough.’

Before beginning my training in psychotherapy I worked in the fashion and music industry as an agent and stylist, and taught drama and movement with a theatre group. I worked as a massage therapist in the corporate sector as well as having my own practice, and taught movement and exercise in various venues around London.
